A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
|
|
This is a spacious (100 sq. meter) apartment, situated on two-floors, to comfortably lodge 6 to 7 people. It is decorated to the highest standard with a library of over 200 books in several languages and some fine art work. It also enjoys two large 32 sq. meter private terraces. On the upper terrace you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the whole city, which takes in the Mediterranean Sea, the Sagrada Familia, and Parc G?ell, as well as the mountains of Montjuic and Tibidabo. On the lower terrace you can sunbathe and enjoy a barbecue during the summer months (usually May to October). The neighborhood of Gracia, “Barcelona’s Montmartre", is an area with unique charm, where you can wander for hours, exploring its narrow pedestrianised streets and lively little squares (Sol, Diamant, Revolucio, Rius y Taulet etc). It is an area rich in culture with its annual street fiesta, the " festa major " (in mid August), its arthouse cinemas, which screen films in English, and its theatres and bookshops. This is a part of the city where the intellectual crowd gathers to enjoy the laid back, bohemian atmosphere in its cafes, and restaurants, and where independent designers sell their wares in charming boutiques. One of the most popular Apartments Barcelona, this apartment is conveniently located to enjoy all the amenities of Gracia itself as well as the city centre. The city centre can be reached in minutes by bus, and is just 3 stops on the underground metro. Within a short stroll of the apartment you can find all the necessary amenities, including supermarkets, Internet caf's, and a myriad of bars and restaurants. We are very pleased with the Gaudi apartment. The views are as advertised. The previous apartment we had booked was no longer available, but they put us in a more expensive apartment and covered the difference. Also thankyou for honouring and correcting the quoted price for the airport taxi which had been overcharged. The driver was on time and very couteous.

My stay in Barcelona was amazing. The gaudi 2 flat is beautiful and clean with lots of space. I loved the patio, it is perfect for dinner or relaxing with a glass of wine. It is a great eclectic neighborhood for someone who is independent and likes to explore.it´s about a 15 min metro ride to las Ramblas or barcelonetta area. Would totally stay here again.

We spent 8 days in Barcelona in August, 2010 with 2 friends. This was our first trip to Spain. Lina was most helpful and responsive to all of our questions. We stayed at the Gaudi Penthouse 2 in Gracia. The apartment was very spacious and we especially enjoyed the time we spent in the morning and evening on the two terraces. We loved looking from the terrace over the city to the Mediterranean in the evening as we made our plans for the next day. Our experience with Apartment in Barcelona could not have been better.

I just thought I would write a quick note to let you know what a wonderful time we had in the Gaudi Penthouse 2. We loved staying in an apartment that really felt like somebody’s home. The two terraces were fantastic and the views over Barcelona amazing. Thank you for arranging everything so well; for being so accommodating about times of arrival and departure; it was really appreciated and made our time in Barcelona wonderfully relaxing. Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. The apartment was perfect for our needs, and we were most comfortable there. We spent every evening on the back balcony, sharing a meal together and enjoying some sangria while watching the sunset and the lights of the city twinkle.

We stayed at the Gaudi 2 penthouse in Garcia and were delighted with the apartment. The neighborhood is not touristy and between the Barri Gotic and Parc Gaell and not far from Sacrada Familia. We found it very easy to get places mostly by subway and sometimes by taxi which was not expensive. The apartment was terrific with 1 very large bedroom, 1 bedroom mostly filled by King sized bed, and one small bedroom. The living area was very comfortable and the 2 decks were incredibly nice. We had 3 adults and 1 child but could easily have been comfortable with a couple of more people staying. Lina and her team took good care of us and was responsive to questions and one minor problem. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Barcelona.

We have spent a month in the Gaudi 2 penthouse and have found the location a delight, the shopping facilities convenient and the neighborhood quiet though pleasantly lively along the squares. The metro has taken us with remarkable speed and ease to all corners of Barcelona. The two amazing terraces are a real joy. The view from the one that looks toward the ocean is as good as from any rooftop in all of the city. In general, the apartment is amazingly large, comfortable and airy. Hi, I´m a student from New York and I had such a wonderful experience with your company during my 4 month stay in Barcelona while I studied abroad there. I stayed in the GP1 and GP2 apartments in Gracia, both were spacious and beautiful with breathtaking views of the city/ocean and in a very safe area. All of the staff were friendly and always available to answer any questions I had. It was a great value for the money and I would highly recommend using this company for any short-term rentals in Barcelona to all family and friends. Wish I could have stayed longer...

We stayed 6 nights in the Gaudi penthouse. Excellent place to come home to after a day of enjoying Barcelona. Wonderful terraces and very nicely equipped. Gracia is an excellent neighborhood... restaurants are priced for the residents and the food is excellent!

We have been visiting Barcelona every year since 2004 and have always stayed in Gaudi Penthouse 2 (GP2). The apartment is just fantastic. Spacious, comfortable, good kitchen facilities, tv, stereo, two AMAZING roof terraces. We have had some great BBQs here, and it is lovely sitting out eating dinner overlooking Barcelona. The area of Gracia is very very nice. Tons of beautiful streets and squares, with 100s of lovely bars, restuarants and Tapas. This year we didn´t even go to the Ramblas or anywhere like that as it was just too nice relaxing in Gracia. Just a couple of minutes from the apartment is a lovely coffee shop/bakers where you can go in the morning for a nice sweet or savoury pastry, and there is also a great supermarket. I could go on all day about how fantastic the place is (maybe one day they will sell it to us) and also the people at Apartment in Barcelona are really friendly, lovely and helpful! Thanks!!
