City centre is close and could be reached by foot, make your own best guide-tour starting from the door of your apartment and passing through Port Vell with its Aquarium, fashionable neighbourhood  El Borne with Santa Maria del Mar, Las Ramblas with Columbus and museums of Gothic area, then take a short funicular trip to Montjuic and observe terrific views of Barcelona from its castle.
